The ED will partner closely with the Board of Directors to sustain momentum, guide organizational growth, and strengthen the organization’s visibility, impact, and financial sustainability.

The Board is seeking an experienced executive leader with a strong background in fundraising, relationship-building, and leading teams through change. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding organizational, analytical, prioritization, judgment, and problem solving

skills. The ED should be both a strategic and visionary thinker and a pragmatic and patient manager with an understanding of the day-to-day complexities of operating a nonprofit organization and should be invested in creating a healthy workplace culture where every team member thrives. The team currently includes a Director of Operations and a Director of Family Services, who report directly to the ED; a full-time Family Services Coordinator and part-time Family Services Specialist, who report to the Director of Family Services; and contracted maintenance and bookkeeping staff.

As the organization’s chief fundraiser, the ED will maintain a highly visible presence in the community. The ED should be skilled at both public speaking and one-on-one communication and should have experience developing sustained giving programs and cultivating major donors. To be effective in this role, the ED must have a heart for service and a deep passion for the mission of ending family homelessness.
